Fit through the fall . by Augarten Hotel Neustift
When the leaves of the deciduous trees present themselves in their magnificent play of colors and the glorious shades of yellow and red delight our eyes, then we know it’s time: autumn has moved into the country. Already, the first leaves sail to the ground, rustling softly. The air is getting cooler, the days shorter. At midday the sun often still has amazing power, but in the evening we are happy to feel the warmth and comfort in our home!
Nature is now making its first preparations for the approaching winter. The animals accumulate winter stores and gradually get their winter coat. And even we humans are not always unaffected by the change of season. The increasingly sparse hours of sunshine and the lower temperatures cause fatigue, exhaustion and feelings of exhaustion in quite a few of us.
We at Berg Genuss Hotel Neustift would like to share with you a few ideas for overcoming autumnal lows in performance and mood! Enjoy with us the beautiful sides of this season and stay fit for the winter months!
Sincerely
Helga & Stefan from the Augarten . Mountain Pleasure Hotel Neustift
Tips and tricks for your well-being in autumn
Tip 1: An autumn walk.
Take advantage of the sunny hours for a walk in the fresh air. Fill up on vitamin D before winter and feel the warming rays of the sun on your face! But even if the weather is not so willing, go out into nature and enjoy autumn with all your senses: look at the wonderful shades of color of the forests, listen to the soft rustling of the leaves and breathe in the fresh cool forest air consciously. Isn’t it a unique scent, this mixture of foliage, moss and mushrooms? Every stay outdoors gets your circulation going, mobilizes the metabolism, stimulates the immune system and gives us new thoughts!
Tip 2: Find relaxation with a good cup of tea.
Enjoying a little peace and quiet with a steaming cup of tea in your hands – that’s good for body and mind. Whether fruit, berry or herbal tea – the rich offer has the right choice for every taste. The fragrant hot drinks also have – depending on the variety – soothing or stimulating powers. Black and green tea also have positive properties: so they promote the health of our heart and can support our performance! A little freshly squeezed orange or lemon juice in your tea not only tastes delicious, you’re also supplying your body with vitamin C at the same time.
Tip 3: The autumn dishes: Seasonal vegetables.
Often in autumn the desire for hearty savory dishes makes itself felt! Be sure to consume vitamins and minerals in adequate amounts. Give local fruits and vegetables a permanent place in your menu: Pumpkin, cabbage, cabbage and beet are now harvested in the fields – they have a high content of vital nutrients!
Tip 4: Pamper yourself with sauna visits!
Regular sweating in the sauna – a weekly sauna session is recommended – has been proven to promote blood circulation and strengthen the immune system. The metabolism is also stimulated and, incidentally, the body releases the “happiness hormone” serotonin. Good mood and well-being thus set themselves!
Tip 5: Relax with a massage!
This is beneficial for fatigue and relieves headaches, neck and back pain. But also a everyone himself can provide with small massage tricks in between for well-being! For example, knead your earlobes with your thumb and index finger – so the tiredness flies away! Or stroke from the outside of your hand to the ball of your thumb for a minute several times a day – this activates liver function!
“I send you the warmest greetings from Neustift in the Stubaital! Get through the autumn months well and healthy!
